Day 1: Drive to volconoes National park
On arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and drop you at booked hotel. Alternatively if you already in Kigali you will be picked from place of accommodation and drive to Musaze. The drive from Kigali city to Musaze takes about 2 hours with adventures amazing sceneries along the way.
The drive to Musaze takes you through different villages and towns along the way. Enjoy the scenery of the thousand hills with great views of valleys and pathways to different homes and trading centers. We advise that you get enough sleep the day before to be prepared for both short hikes and long hikes depending on where gorillas nested
In the afternoon you can take canoe ride on river Mukugwa or choose to visit communities

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Trekking mountain gorilla in their natural habitat of Virunga volcanoes is an experience that will stay with you every walking moment. Arise early and your driver guide to transfer you to the briefing point at park headquarters. Enjoy the traditional dances and coffee as you wait to receive your briefing from ranger guides. You will then be given information on the groups to trek and you transfer to meet your ranger guide. After further briefing on likely distance to travel and expected behavior while in the forest, you start your trek into jungles of volcanoes national park. For some gorillas groups, you are expected to drive out a bit before starting the trek. You advised to take a long porter to help your day with the day packs and some of the gadgets, it is easy to think that you do not need one but they can be helpful if the gorillas nested further away from the starting point.
